SkyWatch: Sandstorm Season

Allergies, face masks, trouble breathing - these are all things that come to mind during sandstorm season here in Jeddah.
Sometimes it's so bad that school is cancelled.  Hospital emergency rooms generally see an upswing in patients with breathing difficulties.
And maids are kept busier than normal trying to keep up with the dusting required to keep homes clean.

To visit MORE friendly skies around the world, fly on over to SKYWATCH where you’ll find beautiful skies posted by bloggers all over the world.

I can imagine that sand gets into literally everything.

I grew up in west Texas and we saw sandstorms like this all too frequently!! Terrific captures -- as long as you don't have to live in the area!! Take care, Susie! Hope you have a lovely "sand free" weekend!!

Wowza that is some sand storm. I used to live in Albuquerque, NM when I was young and remember that well. Sand would come in if we left the windows even a crack. What a mess! Be safe.
